Dr. Jeanelle de Gruchy is President of the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH). Her priority is maximising the effectiveness and impact of DsPH as public health leaders, especially in managing COVID-19. She is passionate about advocating for equality in all its forms.
Jeanelle is also Director of Public Health for Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission, an integrated CCG and local authority organisation, led by both local politicians and NHS clinicians. She is Vice Chair of the Greater Manchester ADPH.
Prior to this, Jeanelle was DPH for Haringey Council for 8 years; she was Deputy Director of Public Health in Nottingham. Jeanelle trained and worked as a doctor in South Africa and the UK before specialising in public health in the UK.
